AWS Data Architect

Title:: AWS Data Architect

Location : Baltimore, MD 100% onsite from Day

Candidate should have highlighted skills:

Proven experience as a Data Architect, with a focus on designing and implementing data solutions in AWS cloud environments.

Extensive knowledge of AWS cloud services, data lake architecture, and big data technologies.

Strong understanding of data modeling principles, data governance, and data security practices.

Demonstrated expertise in designing data integration solutions and optimizing data processing performance.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

Leadership skills to guide and mentor junior data architects and collaborate with cross functional teams.

AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty, or AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty, are highly desirable.

Duties:

• Work closely with development teams and customers to design, architect, implement, and support big data solutions.
• Provide design and development of cloud based solutions and is responsible for technical design and implementation of the architecture.

Experience:

• At least Fifteen (15) years of experience in architecting on-prem/cloud based multi user environments with expertise in planning, designing, building, and implementing IT application modernization / implementation effort.
• Strong leader with around 12+ years of cross functional and technical experience in IT Industry which includes 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud using Lambda, Step Function, Glue, DMS, S3, Snowflake, RDS Postgres, Python and 10 years of experience in Data Warehousing and BI solutions using Informatica with Oracle and SQL databases
• Must have led or been chief architect in major IT implementation efforts.
• Must have a strong background in software engineering principles and techniques.
• Experience in web application technologies and middleware solutions.
• Experience working in the database domain with at least two (2) years of experience managing all operations of Big Data stack preferably Cloudera in a Cloud Environment.
• Experience with big data tools such as HBASE, Spark, Python, SpliceMachine, MongoDB, NoSQL based decision systems.
• Must have Hands-on experience in Hadoop Ecosystem including HDFS, Hive, Yarn, Spark, Streamsets, Map-Reduce, Kafka as well as experience working with NoSQL Platforms.
• Experience in designing and implementing automation using scripts, must be proficient in scripting.
