Job Title: Senior Technical Archive Specialist
Location: White Plains, NY or NYC - hybrid (2-3 days on-site)
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Senior Technical Archive Specialist with 5+ years of experience and a
degree in Computer Science or Data Science to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead the
implementation and ongoing administration of our Archive360 platform as part of our enterprise-wide Data Lifecycle Management initiative. This role is critical to our efforts in transforming data
archiving practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing storage costs, and improving
operational resilience in our financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and administer the Archive360 platform for comprehensive data lifecycle
management
Create and maintain Archive360 classification policies, retention rules, and disposition
workflows aligned with documented records management and data classification
requirements.
Configure secure landing zones for data ingestion from diverse sources including
databases, VM images, and file systems
Develop integration between Archive360 and existing systems including Azure Active
Directory, ServiceNow CMDB, and hybrid on-premises/cloud infrastructure
Design and implement automated data classification, archiving, and retention processes
using policy-driven triggers and machine learning-based content analysis
Create detailed documentation for archive operations and procedures
Train and support application teams during the onboarding process to the archive platform
Monitor system performance, storage utilization, and processing efficiency across
enterprise-scale implementations
Generate regular reports on archive status, policy compliance, and storage operations
Troubleshoot complex issues related to data ingestion, retrieval, and management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Business
stakeholders to translate technical capabilities into business value propositions
Document L2/L3 controls for regulatory compliance and audit readiness
Required Qualifications
5+ years' experience in IT infrastructure with focus on Archiving, Storage management,
backup, and recovery
Hands-on experience implementing and administering enterprise archive platforms
(Archive360 experience strongly preferred)
Demonstrated knowledge of data lifecycle management methodologies in financial
services environments
Experience working with regulatory frameworks including SEC, FINRA, GDPR, and CCPA
requirements
Strong understanding of storage technologies, backup systems, and retention management
Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems
Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, or similar)
Knowledge of database technologies (SQL Server, Oracle) and backup mechanisms
Familiarity with cloud storage platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure
Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated industries
Experience integrating archive platforms with Azure Active Directory and cloud
infrastructure
Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB integration for automated metadata collection
Familiarity with hybrid on-premises/cloud archive architectures
Experience with automated data classification engines and machine learning-based
content analysis
Ability to design and implement policy-driven retention triggers
Experience with ROT (Redundant, Obsolete, Trivial) data identification methodologies
Experience working with cross-functional teams including Legal, Compliance, Risk, and
Business stakeholders
Ability to translate technical capabilities into business value propositions
Experience documenting L2/L3 controls for regulatory compliance
Experience managing enterprise-scale archive implementations (100+ applications)
Knowledge of performance optimization for large-scale data ingestion and retrieval
Experience with archive platform scaling strategies
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Archive360 certification or direct implementation experience
Experience with Rubrik backup software and policy management
Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB and integration capabilities
Background in records management and information governance
Experience with data classification frameworks and metadata management
Understanding of legal hold processes and e-discovery requirements
Experience with WORM (Write Once Read Many) storage technologies
Familiarity with ROT (Redundant, Obsolete, Trivial) data identification methodologies
Understanding of financial services application landscapes and data types
Change management skills and experience with stakeholder training programs
