- Crafting the Core Engine: You will dedicate focused time to the analysis, design, and coding of solutions that enhance our mission-critical transportation management system. This isn't just maintenance; it's about strategically improving the efficiency of a highly transactional system that is the lifeblood of our global operations.
- Dynamic Collaboration: As a key member of an Agile scrum team, you'll regularly connect with product owners and end-users. This involves translating their operational needs and business challenges into functional, elegant code. Your innate curiosity about logistics and customer-focused mindset will be your most valuable assets here.
- Solution Sleuthing & Support: Part of your day involves supporting the solutions you help create. This means investigating issues, testing new data flows, and ensuring the applications you build are robust and reliable for thousands of users across the globe.

qualifications:
- Proficiency in COBOL programming.
- Experience with requirements gathering and analysis.
- Skilled in systems design and documentation.
- Proven ability to develop and test data flows, applications, and systems.
- A strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles, including the use of Macros.
- Familiarity with SAFe/Agile Methodology.
- Experience with at least one of the following database environments: IBM DB2 or HP Image.
skills:
- Experience with SQL and data analysis.
- Knowledge of system integration processes.
- Programming experience with HP COBOL, Fresche - AMXW, or ORDAT - TI2SQL.
- Experience with DB2 or PostgreSQL databases.
- Direct experience with object-oriented programming.
- Familiarity with UNIX, Linux, & Windows operating systems.
- A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
