RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Technical Architect for a 12 month contract to start - no tenure limit. The location is the Greater Bay, CA area. The candidate will be expected to visit Oakland and/or San Ramon, CA 2-4 times per month (maybe flex on this policy).
Project Description:
As a Technical Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise-level IT solutions that align with business goals. This role bridges the gap between business strategy and technical execution, ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient systems architecture. Our ideal candidate has deep expertise in Salesforce and a strong foundation in enterprise architecture, demonstrated by a TOGAF certification, and ultimately ensure Salesforce solutions enable operational efficiency, customer engagement, and regulatory compliance across utility operations.
Duties/Day to Day Overview:
* Design and architect end-to-end Salesforce solutions that meet business requirements and are tailored to utility industry needs, including customer service, field operations, outage management, and billing
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand utility-specific processes and translate them into scalable technical solutions
* Lead technical discovery sessions, assess current systems, and identify integration points and opportunities for optimization
* Translate business needs into technical specifications, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability
* Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle
* Ensure solutions align with TOGAF-based enterprise architecture frameworks, supporting long-term IT strategy and regulatory requirements
* Provide technical leadership across Salesforce implementations, including configuration, customization, and integration
REQUIREMENTS:
* TOGAF certification required; Practical experience applying TOGAF in utility or regulated industries is highly preferred
* 10+ years of experience in IT supporting enterprise environments
* 5+ years of experience in technical architecture roles, with a focus on Salesforce solutions in enterprise environments; This role is focused on Salesforce; SAP as a nice to have
* Proven experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud
* Strong understanding of Salesforce development tools, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and APIs
* Experience with integration technologies (e.g., MuleSoft, REST/SOAP APIs, ETL tools)
* Proficiency in architectural frameworks and cloud platforms
* Experience with enterprise data lakes and governance
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
