Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly motivated IT Infrastructure Assessment Consultant to join our team for a project with our esteemed client. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in IP address schemes, DHCP configuration, network segmentation (physical/VLAN), utilization, firewall placements, and filtering rules. with a proven track record of delivering quality results.
Mandatory Skills and Experience:
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct network mapping of devices and resources (excluding end-points) and update related documentation.
· Analyze infrastructure components including IP address schemes, DHCP configuration, network segmentation (physical/VLAN), utilization, firewall placements, and filtering rules.
· Assess ingress/egress Internet connectivity and analyze traffic patterns for efficiency and security.
· Review continuity and failover designs, including their implementation, to ensure resilience and high availability.
· Identify, document, and remediate network-related issues discovered during the assessment.
· Provide clear recommendations and actionable insights for improvements and enhancements to the infrastructure.
· Collaborate with internal IT teams to ensure smooth implementation of proposed changes and best practices.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience in IT infrastructure assessment, network design, and analysis.
· Strong understanding of IP addressing, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, and traffic analysis.
· Hands-on experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
· Knowledge of continuity planning, failover solutions, and high-availability design.
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide practical remediation strategies.
· Excellent communication and documentation skills.
