Our challenge:
As a Functional Consultant specializing in eMessaging configuration within the SICS / Assure Re platform, you will play a key role in implementing and optimizing electronic messaging solutions for insurance and reinsurance clients. Your expertise will ensure seamless communication between client systems and the DXC eMessaging platform, aligning technical solutions with business requirements.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Warren, NJ is $120K-$!30K/year & benefits (see below).

Responsibilities:

  • eMessaging Platform Configuration:
    • Configure the DXC eMessaging platform to support client-specific communication needs.
    • Define message templates, transformation maps, and trading partner setups.
    • Establish and manage communication protocols such as AS2, FTP, SFTP, or SMTP.
  • Integration & Standards:
    • Develop and implement message definitions adhering to insurance standards, especially ACORD XML.
    • Map data transformations between client data formats and messaging standards using XSLT or similar tools.
    • Ensure interoperability with other systems via web services (SOAP, REST).
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Gather and analyze client requirements related to electronic messaging.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve messaging issues.
    • Work closely with insurance domain experts to ensure message exchange aligns with business processes.
  • Testing & Validation:
    • Design test cases and scenarios for message exchange validation.
    • Conduct system and user acceptance testing for messaging configurations.
    • Document testing outcomes and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Documentation & Training:
    • Create detailed documentation of messaging setups, workflows, and standards.
    • Provide end-user training and support on messaging processes and troubleshooting.
  • Technical Knowledge & Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay current with industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices related to electronic data interchange (EDI).
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within messaging workflows.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience configuring DXC's eMessaging platform within the SICS / Assure Re environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of the DXC insurance software suite such as DXC Assure and SICS.
  • Hands-on experience working with EDI standards, particularly ACORD XML.
  • Strong understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance or reinsurance business processes.
  • Proficiency in XML, XSLT, and web services (SOAP, REST).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with communication protocols such as AS2, FTP/SFTP, HTTPS.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Prior experience with DXC Assure and SICS platforms.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific messaging standards (e.g., X12, HL7 if relevant).
  • Understanding of cloud-based messaging solutions or integrations.
