Senior Linux System Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Linux System Administrator in Orlando, FL.

Key Responsibilities:
* General Systems Administration for AI Lab computer and storage clusters
* Ensure availability and performance according to SLA
* Perform configuration changes, patching, and security hardening
* Maintain all components of the solution, including regular updates and hardware maintenance
* Implement and monitor backup and disaster recovery solutions, including regular recovery tests
* Manage authorization and role-based access control
* Handle incident management and troubleshooting
* Provide end-user support for managed systems
* Coordinate with Siemens Energy IT and Cybersecurity teams
* Support system integration projects and collaborate with external system integrators
* Perform basic server hardware maintenance, including RMA processes and logistics

REQUIREMENTS:
* Kubernetes administration
* Ceph storage management
* Networking fundamentals: Ethernet, IP networks, firewalls, routing (OPNsense), Infiniband
* NVIDIA ecosystem: Base Command Manager, NVAI Enterprise, RunAI, SLURM, Omniverse
* Logging and monitoring tools
* Backup and disaster recovery implementation
* Incident management and troubleshooting
* Basic hardware maintenance and RMA processes
* Optional: MLOps experience (framework TBD)

Preferred Certifications:
* Microsoft, IBM, or NVIDIA certifications are a plus

Additional Details:
* Interaction: Work closely with Digital Core IT team and business stakeholders
* Environment: AI Lab cluster supporting R&D and Innovation projects
* Interview Process: 2-3 virtual interviews (with technical round or assignment)
* Flexibility: Contract role with potential for permanent conversion

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
