We are actively seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager that is bilingual in English and Japanese (reading / writing). This person will function as the liaison between teams in the US and Japan on significant changes, typically related to network / infrastructure projects.
The Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for managing project activities across teams and functions including: project planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality, risk management, reporting, communication, and cost. The PM controls the critical path, contingencies, scope changes and budget (both labor and non-labor). The PM coordinates the day-to-day activities of the project team from original concept through final implementation and ensures that resources are used efficiently.
They may manage single or multiple projects in parallel and ensures projects are aligned with IT standards and strategies set by Project Portfolio Management & Governance Team.
Responsibilities:
Creation of project charters, scope documents, risk assessments and budgets, estimate resources, roles and responsibilities.
Monitor and control execution of project through Waterfall or Agile methodologies to be dictated by Project Portfolio Management & Governance Team
Manage project risk and change management and lead the assessment of inter project dependencies and gauge the financial impact and risk of and to the project
Coordination and communication between the technology and user communities for general requests associated with systems and business recovery events
Monitor and communicate status to leadership and incorporate feedback from stakeholders
Provide leadership and decision making support by establishing project governance
Perform project reporting including overall performance and project completion documentation
Participates in the creation and communication of standardized Project Management best practices and processes
Adheres to Project Portfolio Management & Governance Team policies and processes
