Master Data Management Manager #2517
Position Summary:
Our partner is modernizing and harmonizing data across 13 ERPs and they are looking for someone to help lead that charge. With +10 ERPs, a major S/4HANA migration on the horizon, and aggressive goals around data governance and global consistency, the company is ready to hand the reins to a Master Data thought leader who s been here before. This is a chance to take full ownership of Master Data Management at scale, building clean, governed processes that support everything from quote-to-cash to manufacturing execution. You ll be the go-to for how data flows through SAP ECC and Business One, laying the groundwork for a successful S/4HANA migration. Our partner looking for someone practical, curious, and highly experienced and someone who sees MDM not as a function but as a strategic asset.

Experience and Education:

  • 5+ years leading Master Data Management efforts in SAP environments
  • Experience working with large-scale ERP transformations (ECC to S/4 preferred)
  • Background in manufacturing, supply chain, or multi-entity business structures
  • Proven track record implementing data governance frameworks
  • Comfortable owning end-to-end MDM strategy, design, and execution
  • History of partnering cross-functionally with Ops, Finance, Engineering, and Supply Chain

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead enterprise-wide MDM efforts across multiple SAP systems and domains
  • Own the creation, rollout, and enforcement of MDM governance processes
  • Centralize fragmented data processes into scalable, repeatable workflows
  • Design and oversee data migration to S/4HANA, ensuring clean and validated inputs
  • Partner with engineering, supply chain, operations, and commercial teams
  • Oversee tools and workflows that support data intake, validation, and standardization
  • Interface with business stakeholders to define, document, and enforce data requirements
  • Define and track data quality metrics, and drive remediation as needed
  • Serve as the functional lead on master data impacts across ERP transactions
  • Collaborate with IT on integration points between ECC, Business One, and external systems
  • Build a roadmap for future-state automation and data stewardship handoffs
  • Stay ahead of SAP trends and bring pragmatic solutions to the table
  • Act as a change agent to enforce process adoption across functions
  • Build and mentor an MDM team (starting with a direct-report analyst hire)
  • Help define the future state of master data at Sonny s and lead us there
