Senior Mechanical Engineer
Our Bethesda Office is looking for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer with design experience in HVAC. You will be providing engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems for healthcare, science & technology, education, and commercial projects.

Job Summary:

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of market sectors, such as healthcare, science & technology, education, and commercial projects.

In this role, you will:

Develop the HVAC systems design of a given project based on the scope of
work and/or client RFPs
Provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems
for healthcare, science & technology, education, and commercial projects
Perform Load/Energy calculations with software such as Trace 700, Manual J,
and similar programs
Conduct existing building surveys and documentation of existing HVAC
systems
Develop system design calculations and selection of equipment for use in
buildings
Write/edit project specifications
Prepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies
Code compliance research
Coordinate work with other disciplines.
Provide construction administration services

You will be a great fit if:

You have a 10- 15 years of design experience
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
PE/EIT & LEED certification/experience is a plus
Experience with laboratories/medical facilities design is preferred

Skills/abilities:

Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office
Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines
Excellent work ethic and attitude
Good communication and time management skills
Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the
ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work
Ability to lead a team as well as work as part of a team

Location: Bethesda, MD
Compensation: Salary- $150-$175K/yr
