Position Summary:
The Dynatrace Administrator is responsible for the configuration, administration, maintenance, and optimization of Dynatrace application performance monitoring tools within Humana's software engineering environments. The role ensures systems are monitored for stability, detect issues proactively, and drive reliability and efficiency for critical applications, supporting Humana's commitment to quality, compliance, and security across all digital solutions.
The Dynatrace Administrator is responsible for the configuration, administration, maintenance, and optimization of Dynatrace application performance monitoring tools within Humana's software engineering environments. The role ensures systems are monitored for stability, detect issues proactively, and drive reliability and efficiency for critical applications, supporting Humana's commitment to quality, compliance, and security across all digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain the Dynatrace platform across multiple environments, ensuring robust integration with Humana's software engineering processes.
- Implement, configure, and upgrade Dynatrace agents and extensions, aligning with organizational standards and change management policies.
- Monitor application performance data, analyze trends, and identify emerging reliability or capacity issues, escalating or remediating as needed.
- Create, manage, and optimize dashboards, alerts, and reports to support operational visibility and incident management.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and security teams to ensure Dynatrace monitoring meets Humana's network security and access management requirements.
- Perform routine audits of Dynatrace configurations, access permissions, and security controls in accordance with Humana's policies and NIST standards.
- Provide guidance, training, and documentation to technical and non-technical stakeholders for effective Dynatrace utilization.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of monitoring practices, contributing to business continuity, disaster recovery, and cyber insurance compliance.
- Troubleshoot Dynatrace-related technical issues, liaise with vendor support, and ensure prompt resolution and tracking.
- Support Humana's open source software policy in managing integrations and plugin contributions within the Dynatrace ecosystem.
- Maintain appropriate documentation, operational metrics, and change records as required for audits and governance.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in administering infrastructure/application monitoring tools (such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic) in enterprise environments.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with software delivery lifecycles and integrating monitoring platforms in CI/CD pipelines.
- Minimum 2 years of experience implementing script automation, dashboarding, and alerting within Dynatrace.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with identity and access management practices, including SailPoint, Active Directory, RBAC, CyberArk, and multi-factor authentication integrations.
- Minimum 2 years of experience applying network security and incident management procedures in accordance with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in technical documentation, analytical reporting, and troubleshooting for monitoring platforms.
- Demonstrated ability (at least 2 years) to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams, upholding diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Dynatrace certification or comparable accreditation.
- Experience with monitoring cloud-based and hybrid application environments.
- Knowledge of Humana security controls, open source usage, and relevant operational policies.
- Prior experience in healthcare or regulated industries.
