As a Business Systems Analyst Consultant, you blend deep experience in health care benefits and product development with a passion for analysis, harnessing technology to solve complex business problems, while focusing to deliver and implement technology solutions within a digital experience. You will work closely with Health Solutions Product Owners and technology team to create, prioritize, and maintain product backlog, as well as translate business requirements to technical resources to focus the team on delivering business solutions with the highest customer value. Rate: $57 - $62 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:
The Value You Deliver
  • Working in a Scrum Agile environment to deliver software
  • Leading and conducting business analyses to formulate and make recommendations
  • Identifying and defining solutions to business problems, through creation and documentation of systems and process specifications
  • Creating, documenting, and leading scrum team backlog (writing user stories / acceptance criteria, supporting prioritization, running refinement sessions, etc.)
  • Collaborate closely with business partners, development teams, external vendors, and QA on plans, project management, requirements, design, testing, and implementation of solutions throughout the development lifecycle
  • Supporting deployment, business readiness, and solution enablement, e.g., defining and documenting enablement tasks, supporting user procedure documentation, creation and delivery of solution training to internal teams, and communication
  • Prioritize multiple initiatives and business analysis tasks at the same time


Experience Requirements:
Required Skills:
  • Excellent written communication for documentation (e.g. use cases, requirements, user guides, UI mockups etc.)
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and connect with diverse collaborators, including business users, developers and testers
  • Experience with Agile scrum framework and events: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Ability to break down epics into smaller, manageable user stories
  • Ability to perform Business Acceptance Testing to validate solution meets business needs
  • Collaborating with team members on test plan reviews to ensure test coverage is adequate
  • Experience triaging work intake tickets, incl. engaging with collaborators for clarifications and performing root cause and impact analysis
  • Demonstrable understanding of relational database concepts and data models
  • Proficient in SQL for querying databases
  • Strong data analysis and data interpretation skills
  • Ability to facilitate smooth transitions for new systems/features
  • Experience in user interface (UI) design for tools and dashboards
  • Experience collaborating with UX/UI designers to translate business needs into interfaces is a plus
  • Experience with data mapping is a plus
  • Familiarity with DBeaver or another SQL query tool
  • Proficient in JIRA for backlog management, ticket triage, and sprint tracking
  • Skilled in Confluence for documentation and collaboration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting


Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
