Role and Responsibilities

  • Perform semiconductor engineering research, design, development, and/or testing for firm products and/or devices for use in the electronic communication industry.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to create and execute verification plans developed by reading high level design specification and RTL.
  • Review architecture specifications through use of advanced knowledge of CPU and GPU design architecture.
  • Identify design features for verification and functional coverage.
  • Develop verification, test plans, and functional coverage plans utilizing RTL design knowledge.
  • Work with RTL to create verification reference models and constrained random stimulus generators.
  • Develop and maintain System Verilog and UVM test benches.
  • Drive systems to coverage and verification closure using verification tools such as System Verilog, UVM, and Verdi.
  • May work from home on a hybrid schedule within Austin and surrounding areas.

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field plus six (6) years experience in a related occupation performing each of the following: CPU or GPU design architecture; RTL design knowledge; and verification tools such as System Verilog, UVM, and Verdi.

Travel Requirements:
  • Up to 10% domestic travel to other Samsung sites.

Total Rewards

At Samsung - SARC/ACL, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $189,444.29 - $226,600.00. Your actual base pay will depend on variables that may include your education skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. This is an exempt position, which is not eligible for overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Additionally, this role might be eligible to participate in long term incentive plan and relocation.
