Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Rapid7 Engineer/Consultant to assess and optimize our current Rapid7 instance. The ideal candidate will review the existing implementation, identify gaps and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to enhance the functionality and effectiveness of the platform.

Responsibilities:

• Review the current implementation of the Rapid7 instance and evaluate its performance and functionality.
• Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in the existing setup.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and objectives.
• Develop and implement solutions to address identified issues and optimize the Rapid7 instance.
• Provide recommendations for best practices and strategies to enhance security posture and threat detection capabilities.
• Document findings, recommendations, and implementation steps for future reference.

Requirements:

• Proven experience with Rapid7 products, including InsightVM, InsightIDR, and InsightAppSec.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Experience assessing and optimizing security tools and platforms in enterprise environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Eligibility to work remotely and availability to start work immediately.
• Note: This is a short-term contract position with the potential for extension based on project needs and performance. The role is open to candidates with expertise in Rapid7 products and a strong background in cybersecurity.
