SAP Solution Architect (Contract to Hire)
- Contract to Hire Duration: 6 - months to hire
- Work Location: Remote with periodic travel to Client sites within the US. (Less than 40%)
Job Description
Provides overall strategy and solutions regarding multiple processes. This individual has command of functional business processes in their areas of expertise, and in-depth knowledge of industry best practices. The person in this role has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of SAP and is accountable for proactively identifying, implementing and sustaining a solution design to current and future business objectives. This individual will lead enterprise-wide projects / initiatives to investigate “what’s possible” and define a solution architecture that aligns with the IT/IS long term strategy.
Key position requirements, skills, and abilities include:
- 10+ years of experience in Information Technology, Business Process Design, and Leadership
- Deep knowledge of SAP system architecture and best in class applications
- Full knowledge of Integration capabilities with SAP, S/4 HANA, Integration Suite, and other integration tools
- Experience with CDS Views and SAP OData services
- Experience in establishing solution architecture
- Expertise in troubleshooting, particularly across platforms
- TOGAF certification would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Architecture Design: Analyze business requirements, create detailed technical architecture diagrams, and define technical solutions for SAP S/4HANA implementations, including system landscape, data migration strategies, and integration points.
- Technical Leadership: Guide development teams on best practices, coding standards, and technical decision-making throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to SAP architecture guidelines.
- Integration Design: Define integration strategies between SAP S/4HANA and other systems (on-premise or cloud) using appropriate integration technologies like SAP CPI, APIs, and middleware.
- Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimization techniques to ensure efficient system operation on the SAP HANA platform.
- Cloud Migration Strategy: Advise on cloud migration strategies for SAP S/4HANA deployments, considering different deployment options like public cloud, private cloud, and hybrid cloud.
- Technical Documentation: Create comprehensive technical design documents, system landscape diagrams, and detailed implementation plans.
- Project Management Support: Collaborate with project managers to define project timelines, milestones, and resource allocation for technical delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Review technical designs and code to ensure quality, adherence to standards, and alignment with business requirements.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate technical concepts clearly to business users, functional consultants, and other stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Deep Expertise in SAP S/4HANA: Comprehensive understanding of SAP S/4HANA modules, core functionalities, and technical architecture.
- SAP HANA Database Knowledge: Strong knowledge of SAP HANA database concepts, data modeling, and performance optimization techniques.
- Integration Technologies: Proficiency in SAP integration technologies like SAP CPI, APIs, and middleware.
- Cloud Computing: Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and their application in SAP S/4HANA deployments.
- ABAP Development Skills: Familiarity with ABAP programming language for enhancements and custom development where necessary.
- Technical Architecture Design: Proven ability to design complex technical architectures, considering scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Project Management Skills: Experience in managing technical aspects of large SAP S/4HANA implementation projects.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
