Job Summary:
PeopleSoft to Oracle Cloud Migration
We are seeking a seasoned Oracle HCM Payroll Functional Expert to lead the Payroll workstream for a large-scale migration from PeopleSoft to Oracle Cloud HCM, with a focus on Core HR and Payroll modules. The ideal candidate will bring deep functional expertise in Oracle Cloud Payroll and hands-on experience guiding end-to-end implementations, data conversions, and payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead discovery sessions, fit/gap analysis, and working sessions with business and technical teams to capture payroll business requirements
- Act as the primary Payroll functional lead during the migration from PeopleSoft to Oracle Cloud HCM Core HR and Payroll
- Drive and oversee data conversion activities, including mapping legacy data, preparing HDL templates, and coordinating with technical teams for data validation
- Mentor and guide Oracle EBS and Cloud HCM developers, providing detailed functional input, validation rules, and testing guidance
- Lead CRP (Conference Room Pilots), SIT (System Integration Testing), UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and production cutover planning
- Support payroll balance adjustments, payroll parallel testing, and reconciliation
- Collaborate on the design and validation of Fast Formulas, HCM Extracts, and Absence Management setups
- Work closely with Payroll users to ensure successful execution of end-to-end payroll processing and post-payroll activities
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in Oracle HCM, with strong hands-on Payroll functional expertise
- Minimum of 3 full-cycle Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll implementations
- Proven experience in migrating from PeopleSoft to Oracle Cloud HCM
- Expertise in HDL (HCM Data Loader), Payroll Fast Formulas, Payroll Balances, and Payroll setup/configuration
- Solid knowledge of Core HR, Absence, and Payroll-related reporting using HCM Extracts
- Experience with Payroll parallel testing, payroll reconciliation, and balance adjustments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional sessions and mentor junior consultants
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oracle Cloud Payroll Certification
- Experience with Time & Labor, Benefits, or Compensation modules
- Familiarity with Agile methodology or hybrid implementation frameworks
