Job Title: SAP S/4HANA Delivery Manager Technology & Development

Location: Charlotte, NC (Open to relocation; weekly travel supported until relocation is complete)

Reports To: SAP Program Director / Head of IT Transformation

Position Summary:

• We are seeking a hands-on SAP S/4HANA Delivery Manager Technology & Development to oversee the technical delivery for an enterprise-wide SAP ECC to S/4HANA transformation.
• This is a critical leadership role that requires a "player-coach" mindset someone who can both lead teams and roll up their sleeves to drive execution alongside the Head of Technology.
• The ideal candidate will have deep technical SAP expertise, proven delivery leadership experience, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams, third-party vendors, and technical roadmaps across complex SAP landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program & Delivery Management
• Drive the delivery of SAP development, integration, and technical components within the ECC to S/4HANA transformation program.
• Align delivery timelines with business goals and overall program roadmap.
• Oversee development cycles including code remediation, system integration, enhancements, and platform configurations.
• Team & Stakeholder Leadership
• Manage and mentor a 15+ person technical team consisting of developers, BASIS engineers, integration experts, and analysts based in Charlotte.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Technology, SAP Program Director, solution architects, and functional leads.
• Hold internal team members and vendors accountable for high performance and timely deliverables.
• SAP Development Oversight
• Oversee the full custom development lifecycle using ABAP, SAP Fiori/UI5, CDS Views, RAP, and BTP.
• Lead efforts to remediate and migrate custom code from ECC to S/4HANA using tools such as ATC, CVA, and Readiness Check.
• Guide interface and API development using SAP PI/PO, CPI, and other middleware technologies.
• Technical Governance & Best Practices
• Ensure compliance with SAP development and security standards.
• Promote modern DevOps practices, automated testing, and CI/CD in SAP environments.
• Identify technical risks and lead mitigation planning, including support for cutover and hypercare phases.
• Reporting & Communication
• Provide progress updates to program leadership and executive stakeholders.
• Track KPIs and metrics to ensure transparency and alignment across all technical workstreams.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s or Master s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years of SAP technical experience, with 3+ years in a leadership or delivery manager role.
• At least two full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations (Greenfield, Brownfield, or Selective).
• Strong technical skills in ABAP and SAP development tools, including Fiori/UI5, CDS Views, BTP, etc.
• Deep understanding of SAP integration (PI/PO, CPI) and SAP infrastructure components.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-visibility program environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP Activate, Solution Manager, and Clean Core/BTP extensibility.
• Background in Warehouse Management or other relevant modules for a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or ServiceMax is a plus.
• PMP, Scrum Master, or ITIL certifications are desirable.
• Experience in regulated or global enterprise settings.
