Duties: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Develop high availability and low latency system architectures for Trading runtime. Develop CI/CD orchestration systems to reduce friction for software delivery to production. Develop tools, frameworks and instrumentation to validate and increase rollout success for applications. Maintain and operate NoSQL database called Aerospike that has Trading and Portfolio Accounting data. Patch UNIX machines that host Aerospike service on a quarterly basis. Use Python, C# and other languages to build and deploy tools for internal and external Schwab team applications. Build Monitoring with tools such as Grafana/Prometheus, ITRS and Splunk to alert and page in times of server and service failures.

What you have

Job Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 12 months of related experience. Experience must include 12 months of experience in each of the following skills: Admin and maintenance of NoSQL database Aerospike; Building and Monitoring with Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, and ITRS; Creating automation with Python, Bash, and Powershell; Building and maintaining time-series database Kx; Managing and optimizing Trading platforms with Networking solutions; and Performing Database upgrades, OS Patching, performance tuning, and support activities using Ansible and SALT.
