We are seeking a VDC Designer / BIM Coordinator to join our client's team in Los Lunas, NM. This position is ideal for a BIM professional with strong coordination experience who thrives in fast-paced construction environments. While modeling is a key part of this role, much of the focus will be on quality control of installs, heatmapping, reviewing point clouds, ensuring trade coordination, scanning and registration. This role requires extensive experience coordinating between various trades, particularly in construction and data centers. The ideal candidate will be onsite, collaborating directly with teams to ensure precision and accuracy in project execution.
What You'll Do:
BIM / VDC Coordination: Oversee BIM coordination between multiple trades, ensuring seamless integration and resolving clashes proactively.
Quality Control & Install Verification: Perform heatmapping, point cloud review, and field validation to ensure accuracy in installs and adherence to project specifications.
Modeling Support: Provide Revit modeling expertise as needed, supporting design updates and as-built documentation.
Point Cloud & Scan Data Review: Analyze point cloud data to validate field conditions, compare against models, and drive informed decision-making.
Collaboration with Field Teams: Work onsite with contractors, engineers, and project managers to identify and resolve coordination issues.
Construction & Data Center Projects: Leverage your construction and data center experience to optimize workflows and maintain project accuracy.
Scanning and Registration: Conduct high-precision LiDAR scans of client site, ensuring complete and accurate data collection and register data in point clouds and registering scans in point cloud.
What You Bring:
5+ years of BIM / VDC coordination experience, with a strong understanding of multi-trade workflows.
Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks for clash detection, coordination, and model updates.
Experience working in construction and/or data centers is required.
Strong background in quality control, field verification, and point cloud review.
1+ year with LiDAR scans technology and register data in point clouds and registering scans in point cloud.
Familiarity with heatmapping, scan-to-BIM processes, and install validation.
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work onsite in Los Lunas, NM, collaborating with project teams in real time.
