Job Description

PRS organization is seeking a xIL Modeling and Integration Engineer on the Virtual Engineering team to work on the plant modeling and integration for xIL systems. He/ she will work on plant model development (reduction of plant models for usage on HIL systems and populate the plant models repository with library models) and integration in the MIL, SIL and HIL environment. The candidate must have demonstrated knowledge and experience in development of HIL systems (dSPACE, ETAS, NI etc.) and MIL, SIL systems developed using Soft ECU s, Virtual ECU s and plant models. He/ She will interface primarily to the xIL Systems team to troubleshoot during commissioning of test properties. The candidate must be a strong team player, systems focused with interdisciplinary experience and expertise (ADAS, EE, electric and hybrid systems). The engineer must be willing to work in fast-paced environment. The engineer will be working with global teams (NA, EMEA, APAC and LATAM). Other responsibilities include conducting benchmarks, evaluating new xIL technologies, interfacing with suppliers for plant model requirements, working with teams on process, methodology and tools.

Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications

1. Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other suitable degree related to Engineering from an accredited university
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electronics, hardware, automotive industry
3. Experience with plant and controller modeling, simulation, development, testing, and validation
4. Knowledge and experience with ADAS, EE, electric and hybrid systems
5. Demonstrated Hardware- In-the-Loop systems experience (dSPACE, ETAS, NI HIL systems)
6. Experience with model-based development tools such as MATLAB/SIMULINK
7. Experience with C/C++ code generation
8. Knowledge of Simulation Tool (e.g. CarMaker, ASM)
9. Experience with 1-D physical modeling tools such as GT Power, AMESim and co-simulation tools
10. Experience with model-based development tools using m-script
11. Experience with Matlab m-scripting OR Experiences with Python,JavaScript
12. Experience in Test Automation Tools Development.
13. Outstanding interpersonal and problem solving skills
14. Strong ability to work directly with individuals and groups
15. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
16. Self-starter who can work cross-functionally with other people

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master of Science degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
2. Working experience of MIL/SIL validation and verification.
3. Basic knowledge of vehicle dynamics and specific simulation software.
4. Knowledge of AUTOSAR adaptive platform.
5. Knowledge of ROS environment.
6. Experience of working within an AGILE or Scrum framework.
7. Experience in Test Automation.
8. Ability to adapt to changing environment with minimal effect on productivity
9. Strong understanding of the development of embedded software
10. Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of management
11. Good understanding of the development of embedded software
12. Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools such as ETAS-INCA
