About the Role
As a Software Engineering Consultant, you will lead and contribute to complex, high-impact technology initiatives that span multiple products and teams. You will consult on large-scale software engineering challenges, drive the development and delivery of third-party developer tools, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic goals. This role requires a deep understanding of software engineering principles, system integration, and agile methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex, enterprise-wide technology initiatives involving cross-product integrations.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, technical experts, and external partners to resolve sophisticated technical challenges.
- Manage the full lifecycle of third-party developer tools, from planning to delivery, ensuring alignment with product goals.
- Design and implement automation scripts and CI/CD processes to streamline tool deployment.
- Oversee packaging and delivery of developer tools, ensuring adherence to quality and performance standards.
- Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities in developer tools to maintain compliance and protect infrastructure.
- Partner with product owners and cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Establish and monitor key performance metrics for software tools, providing data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent through a combination of work, education, or military service.
- Proven experience leading large-scale technology transformation initiatives.
- Strong full-stack development experience with Java and React or Angular.
- 3+ years of experience building and deploying microservices, APIs, and/or micro frontends.
- Proficiency in Agile development methodologies and tools.
- Experience with developer tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with secure software development practices and compliance standards.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
