Think of this as an applications support role, a generalist. This person will probably work at a smaller enterprise company.
Onsite role, represent team a F2F is daily expectation 2-3 days a week.
Excellent comm skills required.
Broad scope, azure, power platform (power apps work done as well) SalesForce, WordPress, SharePoint, understanding of network trouble shooting, DNS, support redirects, rebrandly Is an app they support.
Don't need expert in anything but a generalist who has experience across a lot could be a fit. It's tricky, he's seven weeks in he'll know the resume when he sees it
Years of experience; 3-5 type person, really finding more of a troubleshooting person, comfort and reverse engineering, more than 5 is fine at minimum.
Top Skills
- Ability to troubleshoot. Not a person who builds a brand-new house, but the person who comes into a 100 year old house and can troubleshoot, take on new skills. HUGE portfolio of applications supported.
- PowerApps (more dev than admin they do a fair amount of this unit test, trouble shoot, integrations, PowerShell), Power Platform, WordPress is only 30% of work. General platform maintenance.
- SharePoint; websites are hosted on SharePoint 3k users click a link to join live conference; errors came up because site hosted on SharePoint. Very important.
Identity management, giving users access.
- Ability to have some network troubleshooting knowledge in terms of servers, redirects, IIS servers, etc. A names, C names, DNS, trace, core basic networking 101 makes for a more successful candidate.
- Relly more about learning new things, fundamental understanding of Azure required, more for SSO.
- Not really a developer role; but can take someone with that background.
- They user SNow so that's great, as well as New Relic and it's query language.
