Java Backend Engineer

Genesis10 is seeking a Backend Java Developer for a 7-month contract position with our healthcare services client. The position will be fully remote.

Compensation: $60.00 - 69.00 per hour (W-2).

We are seeking a Backend Developer with strong Java experience to support healthcare applications and data integrations. This role focuses on building secure, scalable backend services and RESTful APIs within a regulated environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java (Spring/Spring Boot).
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices for healthcare systems.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare security standards (HIPAA/PHI).
• Troubleshoot backend issues and support integrations with clinical or patient data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of Java backend development experience.
• Strong skills in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and API development.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience in regulated or data-sensitive environments is a plus.
