JOB SUMMARY
Vaco Technology is currently seeking a Senior Product Manager / POS Data Hub (QSR) for a Direct-Hire opportunity that is 100% remote based. The Senior Product Manager will lead a Software Product Team responsible for integrating with a POS system. The Senior Product Manager will craft the product roadmap, collaborate with business / technical stakeholders, and lead the product development in alignment with organizational objectives.
About the Project – This team uses domain abstractions to manage data integration between vendor SaaS products (Qu / Restaurant365 [R365] / Harri) and internal enterprise data systems. Instead of traditional point-to-point integrations, they’ve built a POS Data Hub that acts as a centralized domain layer — a source of truth that sits in the middle. This approach improves data accuracy, reporting consistency, and system scalability while avoiding fragmentation across various reporting and operational platforms.
POS Data Model – This model supports clean, reliable API / Data Development. It unified the integration between SaaS Systems and Enterprise Reporting Platforms. The Hub ensures only 1 downstream integration, increasing flexibility and reducing redundancy. The integration must be solid, as it is high-volume, high-fidelity, and scalable in real-time.
Challenges – They currently support 2,500 Restaurants with tens of thousands of events per minute during peak times. There are data quality challenges, including non-uniform data and complex and raw POS data streams. Reporting is critical, especially for executive dashboards and operational metrics. New reporting pipelines must remain functional during platform transitions (Qu rollout).
90-120 Day Roadmap – The major focus will be on revamping the existing integrations and reporting structures, ensuring operational and executive-level reporting remains accurate and SLA compliant. Another focal areas will be on addressing data quality issues during the Qu rollout. This Product Manager will support the revamp of the backoffice systems, including Onboarding / Offboarding Flows, Labor Forecasting (Harri), and Recipe-to-Labor Alignment (pulling data from recipe systems to help Harri forecast labor needs accurately).
The Ideal Product Manager – The ideal candidate will be one that has a strong background in and understanding of APIs, Vendor Integrations, and Data Systems. A strong send of tradeoffs, prioritizing backlog across teams, and make quick decisions. The ideal candidate will have previous experience leading a team without direct reports, acting as a people leader in practice. Additionally, coming from a strong background in driving alignment across Engineering, QA, Vendors, and Analytics, is a must have. The ideal candidate will come with a deep technical understanding, experience with high-scale / vendor-integrated systems, and come with a Product Mindset, simplifying where possible while managing highly complex projects simultaneously.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.

- Operational Reporting / POS Data Integration – A major initiative involves revamping operational reports and improving the quality of raw data coming from two different POS systems. The data is currently very complex and unrefined. The key priority is ensuring that as new systems (like QU) roll out, reporting remains consistent and accurate, and that SLAs for executive reporting are met.
- Back-of-House Process Overhaul – The team is also overhauling back-of-house processes — specifically how employees are onboarded and offboarded, and how those workflows integrate with the POS systems. This includes capturing the right needs and requirements to support long-term operational shifts.
- Labor Forecasting (Harri Integration) – They're working on enhancing the integration with Harri (a labor forecasting tool) to optimize store-level staffing, including analyzing labor needs (15-minute increments), pulling production time data (length of time to pull specific menu items), integrating recipe system data (labor demand forecasting), and addressing gaps in Qu's data, which is currently insufficient and where the POS Data Hub is being used as the single source of truth.
