Job Description
The City of Phoenix is seeking multiple experienced IT Project Managers to lead high-impact, large-scale technology initiatives. This includes projects in areas such as website redesign, customer management systems, security tool implementation, mobile device management, and time tracking systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicates effectively, and can influence diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full project lifecycle including planning, budgeting, reporting, and vendor coordination
- Ensure compliance with governance processes and deliver status updates to stakeholders
- Oversee contracts, milestone payments, and risk management
- Facilitate project timelines and delivery of technical outcomes
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years of IT project management experience
- Bachelors in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with complex systems involving multiple subsystems
- Local to Phoenix, AZ
- Ability to pass CJIS Maximum Security background check
Preferred:
- PMP, ACP, or equivalent certification
- Public sector experience
- Master s degree in IT or related field
- Familiarity with software implementations and project portfolio tools
