Location: 100% Remote, USA

Rate: $50hr. 1099 or $43hr. W2 All Inc.

Role Overview

As a ServiceNow Developer, you ll design, develop, and maintain solutions on the ServiceNow platform. You ll collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into powerful, scalable applications, automation, and integrations. You ll also support platform upgrades, administration, and user support to ensure stable operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications, modules, and UI components (Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, etc.).
  • Build and maintain workflows, service catalog items, SLAs, and approvals.
  • Create integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, and scripted APIs.
  • Manage CMDB configuration: CI discovery, data integrity, and relationship mapping.
  • Perform system upgrades, health checks, debugging, and platform optimization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and BAs to gather requirements, estimate effort, and participate in design and Agile ceremonies.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and code standards.
  • Provide troubleshooting, support during go-live, and training to end-users.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
  • Strong skills in ServiceNow platform modules (ITSM, CMDB, Service Catalog, Flow Designer).
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, GlideScript, HTML/CSS, XML/JSON, and client/server-side scripting.
  • Experience implementing integrations with REST/SOAP APIs and third-party systems.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS in ITSM/CMDB) are preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience & Industry Expectations

  • Experience with ServiceNow upgrades and platform troubleshooting in production environments.
  • Able to lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and uphold best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain complex integrations and CMDB data models.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with advanced modules: ITOM, CSM, HRSD, SecOps.
  • Exposure to Service Portal development (AngularJS, Widgets).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, Git workflows, and automated testing.
  • Familiarity with dashboarding, reporting, and Analytics.
