About the Opportunity
Apex Systems is hiring a Network Implementation Engineer to support a major enterprise telecom client. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in cable relocations, road moves, and telecom project management. You'll collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to drive fiber testing, network implementation, and relocation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cable relocation and road move projects from planning to execution
- Support new construction and ongoing maintenance initiatives
- Coordinate with Departments of Transportation (e.g., ODOT, TDOT)
- Use 3GIS and SiteTracker for mapping and project tracking
- Oversee fiber testing, troubleshooting, and vendor dispatch
- Manage change activities including scope creation, hot cuts, and maintenance planning
- Handle disconnect workflows including order entry, design validation, and inventory removal
- Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Participate in UATs and contribute to process improvement
- Familiarity with technology systems such as Fireworks, BidMaster, 3GIS, and SiteTracker
- Understanding of disconnect cost optimization (DCO)
- Telecom provisioning, order entry, and network design experience
- Salesforce experience is a plus
- Proven experience managing relocation projects and working with DOTs
- Strong fiber testing knowledge (splicing, troubleshooting, vendor coordination)
- Experience with change management and project documentation
- Ability to manage multiple projects and escalations in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
