Forecasting and Data Analytics Team

The Strategic Modeling and Data Analyst position focuses on strategic planning for Bell Flight's Military Programs Supply Support and contributes to revenue through business case planning and forecasting of spares and repair services that meet government and contract requirements. This position conducts the demand planning, strategic forecast modeling, and data development related to Bell's Performance Based Logistics contracts.

What you'll be doing as a Strategic Modeling and Data Analyst

Support a strategic modeling capability for the program, bringing optimal business decisions - More Readiness at Less Cost

Provide support for development of a common sustainment data architecture to support forecasting, data analytics, visualizations / reports, and new business capture.

Provide support for program supply support personnel including spares forecasting and multi-year planning.

Provide automation and help streamline existing forecasting processes.

Create customized reports and data visualizations based on internal and external customer requirements.

Prepare and present for program reviews as directed.

Maintain a high level of professionalism and responsiveness to internal/external customers, partners, suppliers, and Bell management to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.

Assist in the establishment of performance metrics (internal/external) and measurements that give visibility to supply support cost and schedule objectives.

Support demand forecasting and modeling capabilities for government spares and repair requirements: Key external relationships include NAVSUP, DLA, and NAVAIR. Outcome will drive strategic inventory operations planning within Bell and the U. S. Government.

Support the development of readiness based spare optimization models and simulation capabilities to assist in transition to availability based PBL contracts.

Support implementation of advanced analytical models to identify, assess, and mitigate risks for Military and Commercial contracts including tactical execution and finance impacts, ensuring data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.

Skills You Bring To this Role

Experience in data science programming languages (e.g., Python, R, Ruby) preferred.

Experience in database development, architecture, and SQL preferred.

Process mapping, standardization skills, data collection & analysis, and strong programming skills.

Experience with LSAR databases, MILSTD 1388-2B, and Military Maintenance Concepts preferred.

Experience in forecasting and modeling tools, including readiness-based sparing models and Monte Carlo simulation experience a plus.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite to include Access, Power Point, Visio, Project, and other database software preferred.

Experience with operational business systems preferred (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Enovia)

Experience with collaboration tools is preferred (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow, DevOps)

Experience with Opus / SIMLOX, Power BI, SAP, or similar software a plus.

What you need to be successful

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Distribution, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Information Technology or other IT related degree.

5+ years of experience in operations research or information technology.

Proficiency in decision-making and problem solving.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
