Our enterprise client has an long term position in a hybrid role with paid time off and holidays for an experienced QA Analyst to join our Application Delivery team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of quality assurance practices, with the ability to create and execute test cases, perform automated and manual testing, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. Experience in the banking and/or trading domain is highly desirable.

responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business and system requirements to develop comprehensive test strategies and test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing for web and software applications.
- Utilize tools such as Quality Center and JIRA to track test execution, manage defects, and ensure transparency of QA progress.
- Work closely with Software Developers, IT Analysts, and Business Users to understand functionality, resolve issues, and ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
- Use SQL to validate data and perform backend testing.
- Document and maintain test plans, test cases, and test results
- Execute automated test scripts and support the development of new automation as needed.
- Test across different browsers and environments to ensure consistent behavior and usability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in test strategy and QA processes.
qualifications:
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Quality Center and JIRA.
- Proficient in SQL for data validation and back-end testing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for requirement interpretation and reporting.
- Experience writing and executing detailed test cases and test scripts.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams.
- Familiarity with cross-browser testing.
skills: Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g. Playwright, ReadyAPI, Test Complete, JMeter)
- Experience testing financial applications or portfolio management systems is a plus.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools and practices.
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages or programming for automation support.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in QA, including automation.
