Job Description
We are seeking an AWS Technical Lead with 15+ years of IT experience and proven expertise in designing, architecting, and delivering large-scale enterprise applications on AWS. The ideal candidate will bring deep cloud-native architecture, AI/ML integration, and hands-on development skills, while also mentoring and leading engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable, and secure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance AWS-based applications.
Define and enforce best practices in system design, coding standards, DevOps, and cloud operations.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into cloud-native architectures.
Drive full software development life cycle (SDLC) including design patterns, source control, CI/CD pipelines, testing, and deployment.
Provide technical leadership to distributed engineering teams, mentoring developers and reviewing design/code.
Implement advanced solutions leveraging AWS SageMaker, Amazon Q, Bedrock, and other ML/AI services.
Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance optimization across AWS services.
Oversee cost optimization, monitoring, and governance for AWS workloads.
Stay current with emerging AWS technologies and recommend adoption where beneficial.
Required Qualifications
15+ years of IT experience with at least 7+ years in AWS cloud architecture/engineering.
Strong experience in system design, architecture patterns, scalability, and reliability engineering.
Hands-on expertise with AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, CloudFormation/Terraform, IAM).
Experience with ML & AI technologies (AWS SageMaker, Amazon Q, Bedrock, NLP/LLMs).
Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Node.js.
Proven experience as a Technical Lead/Engineering Manager, with team mentoring and leadership.
Deep knowledge of DevOps practices CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, Infrastructure as Code.
Strong knowledge of cloud security, identity, and compliance best practices.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred / Nice to Have
AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) or AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty.
Prior experience leading cloud migrations or building AI-driven applications.
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS).
Familiarity with data engineering pipelines (Glue, Redshift, EMR).
1 15+ years of IT experience with at least 7+ years in AWS cloud architecture/engineering
2 Hands-on expertise with AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, CloudFormation/Terraform, IAM)
3 Strong background in system design, architecture patterns, scalability, and reliability engineering
4 Experience with ML/AI technologies (AWS SageMaker, Amazon Q, Bedrock, NLP/LLMs)
5 Solid programming in at least one language (Python / Java / Node.js)
6 Proven experience as a Technical Lead / Mentor / Engineering Manager
7 Deep knowledge of DevOps & CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, Infra as Code)
8 Strong understanding of cloud security, identity management, and compliance best practices
9 Experience leading full software development life cycle (SDLC) code reviews, testing, operations
