Clearance and Location Requirements:

• Experience applying security best practices to Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud containers

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support the development and implementation of secure systems and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity engineering, demonstrated experience integrating security into complex IT systems, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Role Responsibilities:

• Capture, refine, and incorporate security requirements into the design and implementation of IT systems and projects.
• Design and develop secure information systems and architectures.
• Evaluate systems and ensure they meet security compliance and risk management standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to integrate security best practices across the system development lifecycle.
• Prepare technical documentation and contribute to security-related deliverables.
• Communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

• BS/BA Degree in Cybersecurity or Computer/System Engineering from a U.S. accredited college, university, or institution
• 8 years of experience as a System Security Engineer
• Strong understanding of applying cloud security concepts in an AWS environment or Microsoft Azure
• Experience applying security best practices to Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud containers
• Certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), with specialties in Information System Security Engineering, or Information Systems Security Architecture, and/or Information Security System Management Professional or equivalent Certification(s)
• Experience capturing, refining and integrating security requirements into information systems or IT projects
• Experience developing secure information systems;
• Has excellent oral, writing, and team skills
