Job Details

Our client is looking for a Desktop Support Technician for a 3-month contract in Dayton, OH 45409.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Desktop and/or desk-side support experience
  • 2-4 years of experience and understanding of IT services and products - including software, hardware, and network troubleshooting skills, PC imaging and deployment, and IMAC experience.
  • Confident, Positive Attitude to deliver great customer experiences and to be invigorated by constant personal interaction.
  • Deep understanding of diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing PC/laptop hardware internal components (motherboard, hard drives, RAM, CPU), and understanding of troubleshooting PC software (Windows blue-screen, Outlook, connecting network printers) as well.
  • Willing to travel overnight, multiple days, and in their general area on a limited basis related to coverage needs
  • Dependability; both to get work done independently, and for attendance, for availability to work scheduled hours.
  • Experience with asset management. Install, move, add, and change. Large IMAC events expected for client printer migration and PC refreshes
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects
  • Experience working in an enterprise environment.
  • A+ Certification is a plus
What You Will Be Doing
  • Work as a floating technician in the local metro to help with coverage during time off, leave of absences, backfilling an onsite technician, special projects, and any additional coverage needs to ensure operational stability for our customer.
  • Coverage includes sites outside of the metro, so associates must be willing to travel out of state multiple days/weeks.
  • Repair, test, image and clean PC's, laptop, monitors, printers, and other related hardware.
  • Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot software and computer peripherals.
  • Assure that all tickets requiring follow-up work and/or calls receive appropriate attention.
  • Comfortable with face-to-face interactions as will be required to provide technical support to end users in person at the customer's site
  • Back up and burn end-user data.
  • Assist in developing and documenting improvements to current processes.
  • Assist other coworkers in the resolution of end users' technical issues across the program and providing assistance with mentoring new employees
  • Assist Site Leader in the execution of established processes and escalations.
