As part of OPT operations, the Planning and Innovation (P&I) team is responsible for providing guidance and standards in the execution of projects. P&I creates tangible goals, aligned with the overall organization's vision, and ensure all targets are met. Guidance comes in the forms of project templates, standardized processes, standardized methodology, requirements for product development and enhancements. Currently, P&I is engaged in a pathbreaking modernization initiative.
The NYC School Transportation Modernization Project will solve problems for caregivers, students, school administrators, drivers (external stakeholders) and OPT staff (Internal stakeholders). This is an extensive business process reengineering initiative involving change in business processes, use of new products and replacing old applications.
We are looking to supplement the existing team with two Business Analysts to help keep these time sensitive initiatives on track. We hope that these resources will be able to work in tandem with the existing team to leverage their deep business knowledge and expand our current operations and scope.
High-Level Effort Goals: Manage, monitor, track, milestones, collect, maintain and revise requirements, test, train and release projects.
OUTLINE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with stakeholders across business units (to develop analyses and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently with production, managerial, and executive teams
Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis, and maintain systems processes, including the delivery of monthly status reports to all appropriate parties
Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation
Conduct daily systems analytics to maximize effectiveness and troubleshoot problems
Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with partners for optimized systems integration, and respond to questions and concerns from managers and executives with supporting research and recommendation
MANDATORY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor s Degree or a Master s degree in business, management, information technology or a related field from an accredited college or related field.
PREFERABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio/Lucidchart
High proficiency in documentation and communication with stakeholders
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work as a team member
Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
