BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Usability Researcher 2 for remote opportunity.
Position Title: Usability Researcher 2
Location: Remote
Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Job Type: CONTRACT
Pay Range: $50/hr on W2

Summary:
The main function of a usability researcher is to research market conditions in local, regional, or national areas to determine potential sales of a product or service. A typical marketing analyst is responsible for gathering information on competitors and methods of marketing and distribution. As a UX Researcher 2 in the Data Cloud Studio you will work closely with senior members on the team and become an expert in the motivations, workflows, and habits of data professionals and bring that expertise to the strategy, design, and growth of the many products and services in the cloud data suite. The UX Research team takes a multi-methods approach, combining expertise and creativity with both quantitative and qualitative methods combined with big data analysis to identify emerging patterns and usage and uncover user insights, unarticulated needs, and new product/service opportunities and priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with a high-performing UX Research team with expertise in all types of research including qualitative, survey, usability, metrics, plus partnering with big data experts for analyses of behavioral data.
Foster relationships with PM and design teams throughout the Data Organization, so you stay close to our stakeholders and their challenges.
Conduct a mixture of qualitative and quantitative research activities to inform product design, including but not limited to ethnographic explorations, usability studies, heuristic evaluations, interviews, contextual inquiry, surveys, user journey maps, benchmarks or any method that answers the most important research questions.
Snap to organization-wide priorities and success criteria to design and execute a research program that meets the organization's needs.
3+ years of experience conducting UX research in technical domains
Required Skills & Experience:
1. Minimum 3+ years' experience with Data Domain/ Data science
2. Minimum 3+ years' experience with Research skills
3. Minimum 3+ years' experience with Clear Communication (able to convey clear detail verbal/written communication)
Education & Experience:
PHD degree is required for this role. (Have the experience of creating new knowledge in a scientific peer reviewed environment. Some disciplines but even political science PhDs make excellent quant researchers)
