Java programming experience

Experience with Java Persistence API (JPA), SQL, RESTful web services and JUnit

Experience with JavaScript and the DOJO framework

Experience with IBM Business Automation Workflow and/or IBM Case Manager development.

Experience working with and understanding COBOL code

 

The ideal candidate will have the skills specified below:

•              Experience in Java solution development in the Windows environment.

•              Experience with Java Persistence API (JPA), SQL, RESTful web services and JUnit.

•              Experience with IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) / Case Manager (CM) development, including process design, script adapters, and custom components.

•              Experience with JavaScript and the DOJO framework.

•              Able to utilize current best practices and help OIC establish/refine coding standards.

•              Work in an agile/iterative development manner to provide regular and routine evidence of progress towards completion. 

•              Write, test, and document application components to successfully deliver work.

•              Work collaboratively with OIC IT team members and other subject matter experts (e.g., BWC team members) to determine the best solution approach.

•              Adhering to timelines and development goals.

•              Testing the stability and functionality of the application.

•              Troubleshooting and fixing bugs.

•              Writing documents and providing technical training for OIC IT staff.

•              Maintaining the security and integrity of the application software.

•              Prepares appropriate documentation (e.g., flowcharts, narratives, code comments).

 

Day-to-Day responsibilities include but not limited to:

•              Collaborate with OIC IT team members and business users to analyze and document required changes to the BAW / CM environment.

•              Make any necessary coding / process flow changes.

•              Develop test plans.

•              Test and perform any required bug fixes.

•              Work with OIC IT team members to review code and plan implementations.

•              Attend meetings with team members to gather progress updates and identify risks or blockers.

•              Track and report project statuses to maintain a realistic and transparent delivery roadmap.

•              Prepare concise executive summaries for the CIO and detailed weekly status updates for IT management.

•              Work with IT management to coordinate project activities across teams, ensuring alignment between requirements, development, and testing.
