Job Details

Role:Human Factor Engineer

Location:Phoenix AZ (Hybrid) local Candidates only

Must have: Product Development, Human Factor Engineering, Aero/Avionics background, Systems Engineering and Applications (ESEA), Centers of Excellence (COE)

The candidate will have broad experience with product development, services development, and in-service activities.

Responsibilities include: (will write a SOW with deliverables)

  • Use expert knowledge of Human Factors engineering discipline and Honeywell/Industry standards, processes and tools in order to complete and ensure compliance of various projects.
  • Coordinating and presenting regulatory subject matter as an expert to help lead challenging certification approaches.
  • Leading end user acceptance evaluations for associated design implementations, to include coordination with various Systems Engineering and Applications (ESEA) teams, Centers of Excellence (COE) product teams and Test subjects (e.g. pilots, maintenance personnel).
  • human factors design guidelines and standard work across Honeywell Aerospace.

Requirements:

  1. BS degree in Human Factors Engineering, or Psychology degree with relevant aerospace experience
  2. ship or resident Alien status required to support government projects and programs
  3. Strong knowledge of systems engineering and Human Factors disciplines in product development
  4. Pilots License with Instrument rating, ideally on multiple aircraft types is a plus
  5. 6 or more years with direct application of Human Factors activities
  6. Experience with aircraft avionics systems software and hardware.
  7. Experience with aircraft installation design.
  8. Experience with experiment design methodologies.
  9. Knowledge of regulatory and industry standards (FAA, RTCA, ARINC, SAE)
  10. Knowledge of software development methods and practices.
  11. Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence customers and leadership
  12. Ability to work in a flexible environment with changing priorities and assignment
  13. Demonstrated capability in requirements development/management, implementation reviews and verification activities
  14. Ability to execute to a vision that is aligned with aerospace Human Factors goals & business needs.
  15. Advanced Degree such as a Master of Science (MS) or PhD in Human factors discipline is a plus.
