Job title: Lead Salesforce Consultant
Duration: 12 Months
Location: 100% Remote

Required Skills

12+ years of Salesforce development experience using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning component frameworks, triggers, batch apex and Salesforce APIs at a large organization.
7+ years experience in Salesforce point and click configuration using flows, validation rules, sales process setup, security (roles, profiles, permission sets, permission set groups
and sharing rules), reports and dashboards at a large organization. Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications using SOAP, REST, BULK and Streaming APIs.
Experience in building complex, scalable, and high-performance software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers. Familiarity with agile software delivery
methodologies such as Scrum. Certified Salesforce Platform Developer II (PDII) or equivalent experience. Certified Salesforce Administrator or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities:
As a Salesforce Developer, you will serve as a technical leader who champions best practices and drives excellence within the Salesforce CRM platform. A significant focus of
this role involves mentoring and upskilling team members through structured knowledge transfer sessions, paired programming, and regular technical workshops. You will
demonstrate strong informal leadership by building collaborative relationships across teams, guiding architectural decisions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
in Salesforce development practices. While developing customized solutions, you will analyze project objectives, create customer workflows, and deliver scalable solutions that
align with Salesforce architectural standards. Your role as a technical mentor includes establishing and maintaining development guidelines, leading code reviews, and creating
learning resources to elevate the team's Salesforce expertise. To ensure success, you should have extensive experience working with Salesforce CRM platforms, strong
application development skills, and the ability to solve complex software problems while effectively communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical
stakeholders

2. Why is this position open? How is it impacting the business?

a. We are a new space within the company specifically focused on projects that are revenue generating/modernization focused. Salesforce continues to be a part of everything we do. We are in need of an individual who can help upskill our engineers, helping us adhere to and extend upon best practices. Participate in our Salesforce COE.

3. Please describe the project work, and what do day-to-day responsibilities look like:

a. Familiarize oneself with current and future Salesforce development work within established projects. Actively work within agile development team, coordinate design changes, documentation and collaborate with team members through development, deployment and transition of support to operational team.

4. What technologies or systems will this contingent worker be utilizing? The candidate must have extensive experience with Salesforce implementations. Specifically, we use Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud and are evaluating adding additional offerings such as Revenue Cloud or Financial Cloud.

a. If a candidate does not have all the technologies listed, would there be technologies you would consider similar and/or transferable for this position? Adjacent technologies would include, Java, Java Script, Next.js

Our line of business operates out of a single org shared with other business lines. We adhere to standards of practice under the internally established framework supported

by our Enterprise Center of Excellence group, of which, we are a member. We began our implementation of Salesforce over nine years ago, incorporating sales, sales

support, field service, customer service and client servicing tools and capabilities within the Salesforce Platform. Our ratio of custom versus configuration historically

has been heavily one sided, focusing on custom implementations to service unique business needs.

6. What skills are you looking for in the ideal candidate? (Please feel free to add more bullet points!)

a. Preferred

i. 1. Salesforce framework configuration and custom development for Sales and Servicing.

ii. 2. Strong communication skills operating within and across development teams.

8. Will this person be any sort of team lead?

a. There will not be any formal leadership.

9. What is the size and culture of the team?

a. We currently have one team primarly focused on Salesforce made up of 6 engineers. However, as we go forward, there could be multiple teams engaged

with Salesforce work. In this role we want someone who can be flexible, and help multiple teams adhere to guidelines/best practices.

10. Will this person interact with any other Principal departments?

a. Potentially some corporate enterprise CRM Teams.

b. Will coordinate with the CRM Team on the operational side of our department.

11. Is this role needing someone to sit on-site, or work remote? Remote

12. How long is this contract expected to last? Is there a possibility of extension beyond this date?

a. 1 Year, yes extension possible.

a. Behavioral questions with Architectual and technical exercise.

14. What are the challenges you anticipate with this project?

a. There will be multiple projects. Possible changing criteria, upskilling engineers with varying degrees of experience with salesforce.
