Location: Brookfield, WI (Hybrid 3 days onsite per week)

Overview
A leading organization in the financial services and banking sector is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join their team during a critical cloud migration initiative. The engineer will collaborate closely with a Cloud Architect to implement an approved Azure architecture and support the transition of on-prem applications both in-house developed and vendor-based to the cloud environment. This position offers an opportunity to work across multiple teams and systems, helping shape the infrastructure that powers enterprise-level applications in a secure, scalable, and efficient way.

Key Responsibilities
Deploy, configure, and manage Azure infrastructure following established architectural frameworks.
Partner with architects, developers, and system owners to migrate applications from on-prem to cloud platforms.
Utilize Terraform and Ansible to automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
Maintain infrastructure reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
Implement and support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD best practices.
Proactively troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Document configurations, processes, and standards for operational excellence.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering or Infrastructure roles.
Strong technical expertise with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, and identity management).
Hands-on proficiency with Terraform and Ansible for automation and IaC.
Demonstrated experience supporting cloud migration projects.
Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work across diverse technical teams.
Curious, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.


Preferred Qualifications
Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-400).
Familiarity with hybrid environments and vendor-managed software.
Understanding of DevOps tools and containerization (Docker,Kubernetes)
