Title: BI Developer - BOBJ and Crystal Reports SAP BusinessObjects (Web Intelligence, IDT, UDT) and Crystal Reports.

Location: Plano,TX Local

Job Description:

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 6 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP BusinessObjects (Web Intelligence, IDT, UDT) and Crystal Reports.
  • Strong knowledge of report development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, universe design, report building, testing, and deployment.
  • Experience with BOBJ tools such as Central Management Console (CMC), Lifecycle Manager, and Publishing/Distribution features.
  • Proficiency in SQL, stored procedures, and understanding of data modeling concepts.
  • Ability to analyze business needs, troubleshoot issues, and optimize report performance across large datasets.

Desired Experience:

  • Experience integrating SAP BOBJ with SAP HANA, BW, or non-SAP databases like Oracle, SQL Server, and Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with scheduling and bursting reports, security setup (row-level/user-level), and universe development (IDT/UDT).
  • Exposure to Crystal Reports formula language, sub-reports, and advanced formatting.
  • Experience in report migration projects, version upgrades, or platform transitions (e.g., BOBJ to Power BI/Tableau).
  • Understanding of reporting in supply chain, finance, or retail domains is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive reports and dashboards using SAP BusinessObjects and Crystal Reports.
  • Create and maintain universes (semantic layers) and ensure alignment with data models and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and analysts to translate requirements into efficient report designs.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot report performance, access/security issues, and scheduled report failures.
  • Contribute to documentation, data validation, and QA processes to ensure data accuracy and report usability.
