Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Vantage Programmer to support the development and maintenance of life insurance products within a policy administration system. This role involves working across multiple technologies and functions, including programming, system analysis, and technical design. The ideal candidate will have deep domain knowledge in traditional life products and hands-on experience with the Vantage platform. Key Responsibilities Attend client meetings to gather requirements and provide technical solutions for building traditional life products in policy administration systems. Build life insurance products using the Vantage policy administration system. Develop plans from scratch using Product Wizard, with a strong understanding of traditional life products, system migrations, and conversions. Define, document, and analyze customer requirements, business processes, and procedures. Research and document technical changes, identify system dependencies, and prepare technical specification documents. Conduct code and design reviews to ensure adherence to project guidelines. Perform testing of changes using various test cases and evaluate results for accuracy. Provide support during System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production rollouts. Review code deliveries, manage defect tracking, and resolve testing issues and abends in a timely manner. Required Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of experience with Vantage or WMA platforms. Minimum 5+ years of experience in traditional whole life product development. Minimum 8+ years of development experience using COBOL, JCL, and DB2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience with system migrations and conversions in the insurance domain. Familiarity with policy administration systems and life insurance product structures. Education: Bachelors Degree
