Job Description:
- The Lead Data Integration Engineer will oversee the design, implementation, and management of the organization s Data Integration Framework.
- This role will define best practices, ensure high-performance and reliable data pipelines, and lead a cross-functional team to deliver scalable ETL/ELT solutions across cloud and on-premise environments.
- The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with leadership skills to drive data initiatives that support business decision-making and analytics.
- Lead the team to design, configure, implement, monitor, and manage all aspects of the Data Integration Framework; define and develop best practices for optimal performance and reliability.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure systems including data warehouses, data lakes, and data access APIs; manipulate data using Hadoop or equivalent platforms.
- Provide guidance on modeling data warehouse solutions using Dimensional Modeling, De-normalized Data Structures, OLAP, and Data Warehousing concepts.
- Oversee engineering data initiatives and projects, supporting long-term initiatives, ad-hoc analyses, and ETL/ELT activities; create frameworks for structured and unstructured data.
- Apply data extraction, transformation, and loading techniques to integrate large datasets from multiple sources.
- Enforce best practices for data auditing, scalability, reliability, and application performance.
- Interpret data, perform statistical analyses, and provide ongoing reports and actionable insights.
- Conduct quality control procedures for datasets across multiple systems.
- Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in data engineering by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and participating in professional networks.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience leading data engineering teams to implement scalable and high-performance ETL/ELT solutions.
- Hands-on experience with application development, relational database layout, development, and data modeling.
- Strong technical expertise in ETL/ELT script development and database design.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, NoSQL, or Python.
- Expertise in data exchange formats, data movement concepts, and data warehouse design.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to lead and provide direction to technical teams.
- Advanced knowledge of cloud and on-premise data architectures.
- Experience with large-scale data integration projects and cross-functional collaboration.
