Computer Test Engineer

Primary Purpose:

I am actively seeking a Computer Test Engineer to join my Global Medical Technology client s platform team. The Computer Test Engineer will focus on testing workstations and server configurations connected to their suite of medical device products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with hardware testing, Linux operating systems, scripting, and test execution in a healthcare or medical device environment.

Major Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test procedures for workstations and server configurations connected to MR scanner systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and execute existing test cases.
• Configure and troubleshoot hardware components including compute hardware and BIOS settings.
• Install and configure Linux operating systems on workstations and servers.
• Utilize bash or Python scripting for test automation and execution.
• Document test results, issues, and resolutions accurately.
• Participate in product design reviews and provide input on testability requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1-2 years of professional experience in hardware testing, Linux operating system administration, and scripting (bash or Python).
• Strong understanding of test execution methodologies and tools.
• Experience with hardware and BIOS configuration for compute hardware.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting compute hardware and software issues.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
