Avanciers is seeking a highly skilled Storage Engineer to join our team for an exciting long-term contract with one of our esteemed clients, based in San Jose CA.

Role Summary:
- Architecture & Implementation: Design and deploy high-performance storage environments, including SAN, NAS, and Cloud, while ensuring seamless integration with virtualization platforms like VMware.
- Vendor Expertise: Hands-on management of enterprise hardware, specifically NetApp (ONTAP/Snap technologies) and EMC, including the configuration of backup and storage appliances.
- Data Migration & Continuity: Lead complex data merging/migration projects to unified systems and manage robust data protection strategies (DR, replication, and backups).
- Automation & Maintenance: Optimize system performance and streamline operations using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for patches, upgrades, and resource allocation.
- Support & Documentation: Provide high-level troubleshooting and monitoring, while maintaining detailed technical documentation for configurations and compliance reports.
