RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client looking for a Lead IT Applications (.NET) in Dublin, CA. This is a hybrid role that is 2-3 days onsite.
Summary:
We are seeking a Lead IT Applications (.NET) professional to oversee and drive technical leadership for retail store systems, including POS enhancements, pin pad upgrades, and workforce management system improvements. This role will act as a central technical resource, working closely with vendors, business teams, and project managers to ensure seamless execution of IT initiatives across multiple stores.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as a hands-on technical leader for POS-related projects (scanners, pin pads, store systems)
* No coding required, but must have prior development experience for technical guidance
* Act as a tech consultant, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project success
* Manage vendor relationships, ensuring project deliverables align with business needs and timelines
* Oversee 3-4 concurrent projects, including large-scale rollouts across multiple locations
* Provide technical discovery and leadership for POS upgrades, system migrations, and tech refresh initiatives
* Work closely with project managers to ensure successful execution of IT initiatives
* Lead and manage offshore contracting resources and external vendor teams
* Support mobile and hand-held device implementations as part of store systems enhancements
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong retail IT experience - must understand POS systems, store technology, and vendor management
* Prior coding background required for technical oversight (SDLC expertise is a must)
* Technical stack: Microsoft environment (Windows, .NET, SQL Server)
* Experience leading technical delivery for retail POS projects
* Strong ability to communicate technical concepts with vendors, business teams, and executives
* Ability to work independently, proactively identifying and resolving technical challenges
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with mobile solutions and handheld devices in a retail environment
* Knowledge of store systems and emerging retail technologies
* Background in technical architecture and discovery for large-scale retail projects
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
