Job Title Data CenterNetwork Engineer

Summary: The Data Center Network Engineer will be part of the team responsible for all implementation and support of network infrastructure within our multi-tenant data centers and public cloud. This role will primarily be on-site and focused on the networking infrastructure located in one of our key data centers focusing on the initial configuration and deployment of network infrastructure as well as documentation of all processes and procedures in support of the network infrastructure.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Racking and cabling network devices. Running cross connects from an ISP handoff to Pellera owned or customer owned devices. Providing console access to customers.
  • Build high performance and reliable network systems, amplifying your expertise through documentation and automation that allows your peers and other teams to utilize the systems effectively.
  • Run the production network infrastructure that supports our core platform, products, and services with a consistent focus on availability and performance. Resolving incidents quickly and where possible empowering the NOC to support our customers and services.
  • Work directly with customers, sales, product management, and other engineering teams to build and operate solutions that align to customer needs and prioritize efficient operations for Pellera.
  • Implementing existing network service design models or creating new models where needed.
  • Measure and optimize network performance and reliability, with a constant desire to push our capabilities forward to align with customer needs. Work with the NOC and customers during incident or request escalation. Continually providing enablement to the NOC through collaborative runbooks and tools that simplify network operations.
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3+ years' experience in the networking industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in (Comp Sci/IT/IS or related) or equivalent experience.
  • Be onsite in Norcross, GA location for a minimum of 3 days per week.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Competency in one or more public cloud providers. Platforms include AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure and IBM Cloud.
  • Experience with BGP and OSPF.
  • Strong understanding of network troubleshooting, TCP/IP, VLANs, public cloud connectivity (interconnect, direct connect, express route), IPsec VPN, VXLAN, EVPN, Spine/Leaf Architecture, VRF.
  • Experience working with multi-tenant network environments.
  • Experience with Arista, Cisco, Palo Alto.
  • Experience with automation tools and languages (Ansible, Terraform, git, Python, Go).
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers and non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, quickly resolve complex problems using analytical skills, technical expertise, and/or research.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current associate level certification in a network specialization (CCNA, VCP-NV 2022, PCNSA/PCNSE, Google Cloud Network Engineer).
