Technical Support Specialist (On-site in Nashville)

TEKsystems' client is looking for a hands-on, customer-focused Technical Support Specialist to support technology across multiple school sites in Nashville. If you love solving problems, staying active throughout the day, and being the go-to expert people rely on, this role gives you the autonomy, variety, and impact you're looking for.

You won't be stuck behind a desk - you'll be out in the field, troubleshooting real issues, supporting staff and students, and keeping essential technology running smoothly.

What You'll Do

  • Provide on-site support for desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic networking issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications
  • Support end users with clear, friendly communication
  • Perform upgrades, repairs, and equipment processing
  • Document work and collaborate with IT teams across the region

What Makes You a Great Fit

Must-Haves

  • 2-3 years of technical support experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
  • Experience with Windows environments
  • A+ Certification (required)
  • Valid driver's license + reliable transportation (travel between sites)

Nice-to-Haves

  • Windows 10 and help desk/deskside support experience
  • Experience in school or multi-site environments
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active throughout the day

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
