As a result of program growth, the Advanced Warfare Technology Division of the Leidos Innovation Center is looking for a Junior Signal Processing Engineer to support remote sensing programs in Beavercreek, OH. The Junior Signal Processing Engineer will work with a multi-disciplined design team (Electrical Engineers, Physicists, Computer Scientists, etc.) to design, develop, simulate, and integrate new algorithms into sensor systems based on given project requirements. The candidate will also have the opportunity to implement algorithms in FPGA-based systems. Finally, this role will support the integration, testing, verification, and documentation of the final products.

Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

- Develop, model, and test algorithms in MATLAB, Python, and/or C/C++
- Analyze, design, simulate, and implement algorithms in hardware descriptor languages (VHDL, Verilog) based on customer requirements and/or MATLAB models
- Analyze results from simulation or real data to identify root causes and trends
- Plan and perform analytical and engineering research, design development, participate in testing, and other technical assignments

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related fields and relevant experience
- Must be eligible to obtain TS/SCI, active Secret preferred but not required

- Experience with tools such as MATLAB, Linux, Python, and languages such as C/C++, Java, etc.
- VHDL, Verilog HDL coding
- Working knowledge of basic signal processing concepts (FFTs, filtering, decimation, interpolation, etc.)
- Working knowledge of scientific programming and algorithm development
- Experience with image and signal processing
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
- Adaptability to new challenges with a strong motivation to grow and learn in new areas
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of computer vision algorithms, parallel programming, and/or sensor physics
- Experience with machine learning, deep learning, and/or GPU programming
