Job Details

Godfrey Systems is currently looking to hire Senior Magento/eCommerce Developer. This opportunity is a 6+ month contract role with great likelihood of extension and can be worked 100% remotely from anywhere in the U.S. Must be available to work 40 hours per week.

Title: Senior Magento/eCommerce Developer

Location: Remote / Telecommute

Contract Duration: 6+ months

Responsibilities:

  • Review business requirements.
  • Perform a technical analysis of requirements.
  • Produce a solid, detailed technical design.
  • Write clean, modular, robust code to implement the desired requirements.
  • Contribute ideas for making the application better and easier to use.
  • Efficiently use third-party data sources and APIs.
  • Explore and utilize new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Create and execute unit tests on your code, to ensure its robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Work together with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Troubleshoot issues, fix bugs, and improve application performance.

Qualifications:

  • 7-8+ years of hands-on development experience with Magento and PHP
  • Experience working with Magento and multistore capabilities. Including customizing themes, improving site responsiveness
  • Experience enhancing user experience with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or similar.
  • ERP experience (SYSPRO, MS Business Dynamics, Salesforce)
  • Experienced in Magento code structure, extension architecture, theming hierarchy, and dependency management.
  • Strong integration and architectural knowledge of the Magento platform
  • Applicant should have a good knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming.
  • Responsible for managing back-end services.
  • Should be able to build reusable PHP modules.
  • Have understanding of the fully synchronous behavior of PHP.
