Job Details
Godfrey Systems is currently looking to hire Senior Magento/eCommerce Developer. This opportunity is a 6+ month contract role with great likelihood of extension and can be worked 100% remotely from anywhere in the U.S. Must be available to work 40 hours per week.
Title: Senior Magento/eCommerce Developer
Location: Remote / Telecommute
Contract Duration: 6+ months
Responsibilities:
- Review business requirements.
- Perform a technical analysis of requirements.
- Produce a solid, detailed technical design.
- Write clean, modular, robust code to implement the desired requirements.
- Contribute ideas for making the application better and easier to use.
- Efficiently use third-party data sources and APIs.
- Explore and utilize new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Create and execute unit tests on your code, to ensure its robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
- Work together with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Troubleshoot issues, fix bugs, and improve application performance.
Qualifications:
- 7-8+ years of hands-on development experience with Magento and PHP
- Experience working with Magento and multistore capabilities. Including customizing themes, improving site responsiveness
- Experience enhancing user experience with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or similar.
- ERP experience (SYSPRO, MS Business Dynamics, Salesforce)
- Experienced in Magento code structure, extension architecture, theming hierarchy, and dependency management.
- Strong integration and architectural knowledge of the Magento platform
- Applicant should have a good knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming.
- Responsible for managing back-end services.
- Should be able to build reusable PHP modules.
- Have understanding of the fully synchronous behavior of PHP.
