We are looking for a Business Consultant - Remote / Telecommute for our client in Edmonton, AB

Requirement/Must Have:
- Experience documenting user requirements, business processes, and workflows (5 years).
- Experience gathering requirements using interviews, workshops, surveys, document analysis, use cases, and business process modeling (5 years).
- Experience in a leadership and/or facilitation role (3 years).
- Experience working within an Agile development environment (3 years).
- Strong understanding of Agile and Hybrid delivery approaches.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience conducting gap analysis between current-state and future-state business processes.
- Experience working with Agile frameworks such as Scrum.
- Experience supporting project planning, scheduling, and status reporting.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholder groups across teams or departments.
- Experience supporting post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and conduct business process walkthroughs.
- Identify business goals, gaps, and pain points through current-state and future-state analysis.
- Create, review, and update user stories, personas, and journey maps.
- Develop system use cases, process flows, and functional diagrams.
- Document and validate business and functional requirements with subject matter experts.
- Support development of non-technical system documentation and policy or procedural recommendations.
- Support change management and training activities for complex program changes.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and support backlog refinement.
- Liaise with security and privacy teams to support assessments as required.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, and status reporting.
- Professional certification or accreditation in a related discipline.
- Knowledge of multiple software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience evaluating policies, programs, or initiatives using program development principles.
- Experience applying analytical and problem-solving skills to design creative solutions.
- Experience with business writing, communication, and documentation.
- Experience supporting change management initiatives.
- Business analysis and requirements elicitation.
- Stakeholder facilitation and leadership.
- Gap analysis and process improvement.
- Agile and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
- User stories, use cases, and workflow documentation.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Bachelor s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
