Job Details

Role: Business Intelligence Developer (Power BI / Azure Databricks)

Location: Fully Remote considered _ Preferably Weston, FL or Lowell, MA
Hours: 40 hours per week

Duration: 6-month contract Interview Process:

  • 1st Round: 45 mins via MS Teams)
  • 2nd Round: Product Manager (30 mins via MS Teams)

About the Role

The team at client provides enterprise reporting and analytics solutions across multiple business verticals, including Finance, Professional Services, and others.

This team partners closely with business stakeholders to define priorities, enhance BI capabilities, and deliver scalable data-driven insights. The team operates across the U.S. (Lowell & Weston) and India.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, develop, implement, test, document, and operate large-scale, high-performance data models, reports, dashboards, and BI solutions based on business requirements.
  • Work hands-on with the Microsoft BI stack particularly Azure Databricks and Power BI to deliver actionable insights and visualizations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather and translate business needs into effective data models and BI solutions.
  • Perform performance tuning and optimization of BI solutions for scalability and efficiency.
  • Partner with BI Architects to design and develop proofs of concept (POCs) and prototypes of new tools, features, and technologies.
  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence analysis and development.
  • Proven hands-on experience in Power BI development, including advanced DAX techniques and building dynamic measures.
  • Strong understanding of cloud database systems (Azure Databricks, AWS, etc.).
  • Solid grasp of data warehousing, data modeling, and the BI development lifecycle.
  • Strong proficiency in T-SQL (intermediate to advanced level).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.
  • Knowledge of Power BI security models, including Row-Level Security (RLS), sharing/publishing restrictions, and export/print controls.
  • A results-driven mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
